Volunteer Opportunities

Kingston Women's Expo is looking for enthusiastic, energetic volunteers who are looking to meet new people, have experience in the industry or just love to help!. If you're interested in helping out with our event this year, please let us know by sending us an email. Be sure to let us know a couple choices of positions you are interested in.

We are looking for volunteers to help out with the following:

Set-up (This position may require some heavy lifting)
Responsibilities include: Assist the Exhibitors with Unloading their products, decorating, entrance set-up, floor plans, signage, table and linen set-up, ballots etc.

Registration Assistant (During set up only)
Responsibilities include: This is your chance to meet the exhibitors of the show. Welcome exhibitors and direct them to their booth location and answer questions they may have.

Responsibilities include: Welcome visitors to the show, distribute floor plans, attendee passports and contest ballots. Explain ballot box, passports, event agenda and answer visitor's questions.
Cashier (Previous cash register experience is required)
Responsibilities include: Collect tickets and entrance fees from visitors using a cash register.

Help out in almost every volunteer role! Responsibilities include: Provide break and lunch opportunities for volunteers.

Host Assistant
Assist with on stage draws, speaker introductions. and any announcements Responsibilities include: Help presenters & special guests with whatever they need to make their presentation, make notes of possible changes or suggestions for future reference.

Volunteer Manager (Previous manager experience is preferred)
Keeping our Volunteers happy is a main priority. We want to ensure their needs are met. Responsibilities include: Ensure all volunteers receive pertinent information regarding the show, sign in and out for each shift, are at their designated location and receive breaks and lunches as required; ensure that breaks and lunches are covered by other volunteers. This person will present each volunteer with a thank you gift at the end of their shift.

Tear Down (closing night only; this position may require some heavy lifting)
Responsibilities include: Remove signage; take down tables, compile linen to return; dismantle front entrance; assist exhibitors in packing up and loading their displays, and pack up supplies.
